Ambitious Integrated Transit Terminal VMH will be Completed by the End of April

March 24 2011 11:38 AM

The ambitious integrated transit terminal Vytilla Mobility Hub, in Kochi, will be thrown open to the public by the end of April. Though the project was delayed because of petty issues between KITCO, the project designer and the construction company, it has finally taken off. The hub is believed to be the largest bus terminus in the state of Kerala and the third largest in South India. “The project will be completed by the end of April, 2011. The delay in the project occurred because of the complication in design. So, it took more time than we planned,” said M. Beena, managing director, Vytilla Mobility Hub Society. The mobility hub that is well-connected with all the city routes is designed as a converging point for all means of public transport such as long distance buses, the metro rail and water transport. The construction of the first phase with the terminal for long distance buses and basic amenities started in December 2010. Courtesy Dileep KS
